Stoatwobbler
He resigned for 'personal reasons', which is politicians' code for playing away with a secretary or such like (in his case it is a female civil servant). Rumour has it that he was shopped by a member of Balls' staff - which is very plausible, given the track record of the scheming sewer rat Balls. Well that's what Paul Staines poxy, flea ridden website is saying. However, it's always best to work on the assumption that anything that comes out of Paul Staines cesspit is false until proven otherwise.

Rather like all those stories Guido made up about MPs fiddling their expenses and claiming huge amounts for every perk going. As for Johnson, Guido has posted another story entitled 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander', implying that the ex-postman has been emptying his sack in places he shouldn't. No doubt the story will be corroborated (or not) soon when Johnson's wife (or her policeman lover) sells the story to a tabloid for huge amounts of wonga. Greybeard
The story on the BBC this morning is that Johson's wife has been playing away with a copper in the protection squad. Guido is probably right that Ed Balls is responsible for the press getting hold of whichever story is true. Lovely man
alchresearch
Not a great day for Labour. Losing Johnson because his wife was allegedly playing away (surely this must be a first!) Criticism for appointing Ed Balls to Shadow Chancellor, because he was Brown's "right hand man" and responsible for the problems the country is in regarding the banks and finances. And Blair in the dock again today!

Balls has baggage and I am sure the Tories will have a go at him for it, however in terms of his knowledge of economics he is a million miles ahead of Johnson and dare I say it, Osborne. mossdog
The BBC is reporting that his wife was having an affair with a Police protection officer. The officer is facing suspension over the affair.Shouldn't that be suspenders, not suspension?
mossdog
Ed Balls and Ed Milliband!.............what is this country dumbing down to, surely we can do better than Twatman and Robin!
LordChaverly
And Blair in the dock again today! Cannot wait to see him wiggle again ... he's so slippery! Unfortunately, he is not in the dock. He is answering questions to a committee of five members, at least two of whom supported the decsion to invade Iraq and who are acknowledged admirers of |Blair (indeed one of them even compared him to Churchill). As a master of equivocation and verbal flim flam, Blair will no doubt sail through the tame questioning, as he did on two previous occasions.
