Nataliie
And that limit would be? And what about drivers, above that age limit, that have 20/20 vision and can drive perfectly well? What about withdrawing all licences issued to women? I think everyone should be retested, every 15 years or so. And eyesight every 5 years. I've not seen many old drivers that can drive well. They would probably attempt to, but as everyones details are now stored on a central database it wouldn't be long before they got caught. But then they pay a fine that is less than insurance, and points or whatever, then do it again until they got caught, then their licence took off them.. But they probably wouldn't care about that, so they'd drive with no insurance, or licence.
Tomataheeed
They have operated this system in Singapore for years. there are a finite number of tax discs for the entire nation. You buy one for 10 years - it costs about £50,000K, and you have to buy it for cash at a monthly auction. On top of this, if you want to drive in the central business district you pay more on top. The end result is that cars are for the rich only. the best selling car in Singapore always used to be the Merc S class. If you can afford a car, you can afford an expensive one ! Tomataheeed
They've got things pretty much sorted in Singapore, It's us Western folk who are behind the door. Except that its a police state that controls the media. They execute for all sorts of reasons too, nit just drug traficking. They also hush up crimes for the benefit of the tourist/banking/expat industry. My parents lived there for a while....slightly weird place. Maxxy
Stop letting more and more people into the country and then letting them on the roads. Remove every last one that is here illegally and tighten up on who's allowed in. Take cars away from all people who drive illegally, uninsured etc. Don't let people who don't want to work and are on benefits, have cars. It's a luxury that should only be had by people that are willing to pay for it out of their own money.
