EdnaKrabappe
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/12254668 Link to a calculator for calories, the equivalent in food, and how long it takes you to burn it off and how much it would cost you in a year! I am not a huge drinker can go weeks without it but when I do, I do tend to binge which is quite scary how long it takes to get out of your system! mart
It does the calculations fast. In respect of calculating the cost of what is drunk it assumes the drinks were bought in a pub. I entered 4 units of alcohol,it calculated that it cost me £7.80.
Alien
About £75 a year. Almost half that if you remove the pub assumption.
chem1st
I saw it earlier on the bbc website. Complete and utter rubbish. The amount of units is (%abv)* (Litres). The cost is however much you paid for it. The calories vary very much. The rate it leaves the body also varies. (1 unit per hour on that calculation) I used to sup 200+ units a week, probably only 100 or so now. There is only 168 hours in a week. I'd still be drunk now from a few years back!
