sues_budgie
When it comes to tax, working people are being squeezed like a pair of testicles in a vice. Its painful and is also eyewatering. Petrol is up, council tax is up, VAT is up, insurances are up, rents are up, fuel bills are up, but wages are not going up and in some cases are coming down in real terms. Will people soon be forced into setting up little businesses doing 'cash in hand work' simply to make ends meet/pay the bills. Is it morally wrong to do this, or should the working person continue to try to make ends meet, even if the ends are now struggling to meet. There will of course be the argument that 'cash in hand'businesses will undermine legitimate businesses and so can see why not all would see this as the way forward. Squiggs
Of course it's wrong. The only people allowed to "fiddle" are those who have enough money to pay an accountant to work out a legal fiddle Those people are respectable people fighting the good fight against taxation by using loopholes and are to be respected and lauded for their good enterprise Fiddle workers on the other hand are dirty scroungers and are responsible for all the evils in the world including cute little fluffy kitties being homeless
LardyBoy
I have no problem what so ever if someone does this . everybody has bills to pay , food to put on the table , and at least people doing this are showing they want to graft and earn cash rather than sit on their backsides doing nothing . Someone making a little extra on the side , should , in my opinion be applauded for their endevour .
Lady Star
Are you worried about the side work your mates are doing? I recall you posted about this a week or so ago? If you are so concerned, you have three choices... Ask em to stop, call the tax on them or ignore it...
chem1st
I heard of someone doing fiddle work for £5 an hour. Surely that is not legal? They should be getting a minimum of £5.93!

These scroungers are just too ill bred to have the decencey to gratefully wait for the trickle down wealth from the decent wealth creating tax avoiders. Or is it evaders? (they're entirely different things you know.....because of the spelling.)

INTERVIEWER
We live in a low wage, high tax economy. Only the super wealthy (Tories, Lib Dems, BBC execs and their bankster pals) can afford to pay their taxes (but instead employ high powered lawyers to 'avoid' this). In an unjust society, the just people will look after their family at the expense of the state...

Rupert_Baehr
We live in a low wage, high tax economy. ... Why is it such a high-tax economy? Could the fact that 30% of the work force don't actually work have anything to do with it?
