If she gets the death penalty it will take about 15-20 years to be carried out what with all the legal processes, appeals etc to be gotten through. In the meantime she's just another mouth to clothe, feed and shelter paid for by the Arizona taxpayer but maybe they'll get lucky as child killers are not loved in any prison and someone might just stick her with a shank some dark night. In the UK maybe, but not in the US. Their prison system is so utterly racially gang dominated she'll be a hero for the aryan nation and nazi lowriders gangs and she'll be protected. She'll be a target for the mexican mafia and the like but US prisons are wierd places, they seem to be run by the inmates more than the guards other than the supermax facilities like ADX Florence. Somebody was executed in Utah by firing squad last year, but AFAIR, t0 have the option of that method, the convict must've been sentenced to death before the method was banned. Oklahoma would offer Firing Squad as an alternative - but it would only be a choice if lethal injection and eletrocution had been argued to be unconstitutional. Where there are 2 or more authorised methods, the primary will usually be used unless the convict requests the secondary. 36 States, the US Military and the Federal government have capital punishment and lethal injection is the primary method in all cases.
