selphie Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 It goes away. My ex was terrible. Got another bird pregnant when our son was just 1 year old. That was the second time I found out he'd been cheating!!! So I left, got on with my life. Became happy, surrounded myself with friends, family and nice things. Basically I stopped mulling over the past and got a life that didn't include him. Once I was truly happy I started treating the ex like a normal person whom I had no feelings for whatsoever, no love or hate. And things got better from then on. So I think it depends on you and your circumstances, there's no set time. But it does go away. Your child is what's important and once all the hurt goes away you'll both have a mutual interest in nurturing your child. That will be what's important to you both.
