Speeding fine has now gone to court/crb check

Recommended Posts

Plenty of companies will not be bothered about a speeding conviction, it's not the same as a criminal record. Mr Putz, the lorry driver in London who killed someone in the morning and was still over the limit from the night before, had been banned from driving 6 times and still got a job as an HGV driver.

Must have been one of his mates or he was very economical with the truth because MOST if not all Logistics companies wouldnt touch him with a barge pole.Anything over 6 points for anything makes life very difficult.

Oh and good to see you being put in your place ;)

Putz, who had a string of convictions and had previously served jail terms for reckless driving and driving while disqualified, admitted causing death by careless driving but was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving. He admitted using his mobile phone at the time of the accident, but said he was using a hands-free kit.

Motoring convictions are just about the only ones for which you do not get a criminal record. They will not come up on a CRB check. For these checks you should give as much info as possible to avoid the possibility of another person with the same name as yours, with a record, being mistaken for you. Consider, your first name and surname could match up in this way. It is highly unlikely that a person will have the same middle name. Give all.

Some 'motoring convictions' are also criminal convictions and therefore would appear on a CRB (driving whilst disqualified, causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving, etc) but to answer the OP, speeding is not a criminal conviction and therefore will not appear on a CRB.
