The make-up of Stradbroke is now completely different and the pub didn't change to suit. When we moved there in about 1998-9, the estate was mainly full of pensioners, and slowly slowly, they have died, for example, mums next door neighbours on both sides, and next door but one neighbours on both sides. They have been replaced by young families, and the pub has kept its old fashioned feel, even with a young landlady, and it just didnt appeal to most of the new locals.
