Andy C
Nice to see the usual Sheffield Forum positive attitude and support for new businesses.... Kerry - tell us more about the pub - is it a community local, any traditional ales, pub games (darts, pool, doms etc), music...
Jonny5
The problem all community pubs have had the last 10 years is that an entire couple of generations were converted to keg lager (which is cheaper to maintain) but the same product is now available dirt cheap from the corner shop. The solution is to provide a product (ie Real Ale) that is not drastically undercut in price a few doors down. Get a couple of house ales on Tap and then a guest ale or two. Keep them in good condition and you should get a steady flow of customers coming back. There is a huge developing market for this stuff.

We often hear about keeping beer in good condition what apart from maintaining the cellar temperature is there to do.

I'm not an expert but I'm guessing you need to keep the pipes clean as well as sell it before it goes off (easier said than done!). There are several users here who are experts. Maybe they'll read this and pm you?
Leah-Lacie
Mum told me on Sunday that the opening night had been good, really busy, cheap drink and free food, but then the following night, it was practically dead (2 or 3 people in playing pool) I hope you manage to get it to pick up and stay up Kerry! x
