EDL Leader to be interviewed on Newsnight

Recommended Posts

I agree, he could sound half plausible to the hard of thinking.

Total scumbag though.

He sounded sincerely worried. I have no doubt I would revert to a tongue tied fool if interviewed aggressively by Paxman. I reckon he did quite well.

It's not like he's standing for election or anything, but now people know about the EDL, and the calibre of their leadership.

Half of these demos are probably organised by undercover coppers anyway.

While paxman certainly is intimidating and under the circustances he didn't get nailed to the carpet, but he didn't come across as even a tenth plausible to anyone.

The alledged whole point of the EDL is defense against radical islam.

He went on about "muslim" (read secular pakistani) gangs targetting kids for abuse, then switched to radical islamic terrorists, then back to secular muggers. One minute he hates islam but not muslims the next minute he wouldn't let a muslim join. For the leader of I forget how he described the edl but it was something along the lines of a major phenomenom (probably with a lot less sylabils) if you can't get your message clear when on national TV then you have a major problem.

The inams are teaching too much sharians!

The irony is, that if you outlined Sharia Law on issues like women's rights, homosexuality, punishments for theft and capital punishment, most of these idiots would go "Yeah right on. I agree with that." :loopy:

i think he did better that nick griffin on question time. though that was different. for an obviously not-too-eloquent guy with a talent for inventing weird words he held up ok. still didn't make much sense, but didn't come across too psychopath-with-a-dungeon-full-of-dead-puppies like griffin does.

Not sure how aggressive he was by his usual standards.

I reckon he saw Robinson/Lennon coming across as a bit of a confused conspiracy theorist and just let him get on with it.

I bet you would..great advertisement for the religion of peace followers I must say

You letting Roy James use your log-in again? ;)

As someone sympathetic to the EDL's 'cause', how do you think he did on Newsnight?
