Where is Gordon Brown?

Since he lost the election he has remained as MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath and continues to draw his salary. But how often does he attend Westminster? According to the figures he has taken part in less than 11% of the votes in the current parliament.

After the MPs expenses fiasco are we getting value for money from part time parliamentarians?

LONDON: Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has earned more than 250,000 pounds over the last three months from a book deal and appearances on the international lecture circuit.

Brown, 59, caused surprise and anger at Westminster with his earnings, especially since he continues to draw his 65,738 pounds annual MP's salary despite rarely attending the House of Commons .

He was spending a lot of time in his constituency and addressing lots of educational issues the last thing I heard. He wanted to focus a lot more time supporting his constituents which is fair enough. Maybe now he hasn't got use of his sponsors corporate...ahem..."vehicles"...he's not prepared to stump up the train fare to get to Parliament. Perhaps he was hoping he could text his votes in?

Too right, we'd have been sunk completely!

No, no Labour left power with the economy growing after the credit crunch. Double-Dip Dave is doing what Tories do best, cause recessions.
