Look North/ Look Leeds

Did anyone else see Crisper (a ref to her deep-fried appearance, not her cutting edge humour) Ackroyd, in fancy dress as a jockey at lunchtime? She couldn't hold back her glee, as she made a pitiful attempt to comment on wednesday's disappointing result.

it was only the other year you was in Division 1 you only got were u are by beating a crap team in the playoffs

Well it looks like you might also have to beat crap teams in the playoffs this year, cause your not gonna win the league!10 points off Swansea and they got 2 games in hand! plus the other teams around you also have games in hand.

It also has a better record at sensitive city renewal respecting the value of listed and older buildings in the centre.

Leeds perhaps some advantage because the shops can count on the custom of the more prosperous parts of Airedale and Wharfedale, and even from shoppers from York, but sheffield has to make do with custom from the deprived areas of Sth Yorks which were hard hit by the decline of industry and the coal mining.

it also got the armouries, - how the hell did that happen, after the people of sheffields contributions for generations in making arms? especially the famous supergun :hihi: perhaps they realised nobody would come to visit it in Sheffield, coz the council would ensure that you wouldn't be able to get within miles of it by a car:rant: actually, it's probably easier for us to drive to leeds, to see what we deserve to be on our doorstep.

I think a large part of the problem has to be that Leeds doesn't have a local rival football team, like Sheffield and the other larger cities have, so Leeds is really all there is, if you live in Leeds and enjoy football. Whilst in other cities, we have our banter between fans but day to day, we live, drink, and work alongside each other quite happily and have a unspoken respect for each others fans, on the whole, which is far healthier. As Leeds have no rivals within the town, they seem to think that everyone else outside the city is their rival, I think this is also partly to blame for the behaviour of some of their supporters too.

If they were in the playoff positions they must've been about the same calibre as Leeds because oh look, that's where they are now. :D Maybe you should wait and see what kind of BIG opposition THE ALMIGHTY LEEDS have to play against should they be in the playoffs at the end of the season. ;)

It's funny how people moan about this, as if you travel the 30 miles up the M1, you will find the Leeds lot complain the opposite way around "Look Sheffield" etc. Strange how it is two contrasting views and yet Look North can't do right from wrong, can they!!
