Los Angeles-based Dead Rock West is lead by Cindy Wasserman (lead vocals) and Frank Lee Drennen (vocals, guitar). Their debut album, 'Honey and Salt', was described as "rock, folk, country, punk, and pop thrown in a jar and shaken, not stirred" by rock journalist Bart Mendoza and earned the band rave reviews in such publications as the Village Voice, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times. Second album, 'Bright Morning Stars' is a collection of spiritually-based tracks produced by three-time Grammy nominee Peter Case with special guests John Doe, Exene Cervenka, D.J. Bonebrake, and Mark Olson. "It's a rocker, gospel meets Captain Beefheart, and I'm very proud of it", says Peter Case. With word of mouth building and an armful of new recordings the group is ready to hit the next plateau with their own unique sound.
