Longy67
A friend of ours had a problem tree right outside the house and used some of the stuff from b+q that you put into holes drilled into the tree, all went fine, tree died, but the problem was the roots went just under the house by about a foot and when the root rotted away the back wall of the house started the sag and it cost £1000's to put right, so be very careful... Guest sibon
You need to check that you can first. If you are in a conservation area, the trees might be protected. Around here, you need permission to chop down any tree which has a trunk more that about three inches in diameter.

Guest sibon
The trees were planted by the previous owner, would that make any difference? Not really. It all depends upon where you live. If you live in one of these areas, you might want to check that you can just chop the trees down.

chimay
I used some of the tree poison stuff. The stuff I bought has to be put onto a cut stump so it gets down to the roots quickly. It did the trick though.
