Longcol
Hey look friend ! You need to get out of your head propaganda is only soviet or Nazi type news reals ! The establishment has come a long way from them days And BBC is probley the best in the world ! Example of bias are evident if you look for a pattern in the story Eg refusing to call Mubarak a dictator ! Don't think the BBC calls anyone a dictator. Al Jazeera refers to Mubarak as President - is that propaganda? http://english.aljazeera.net/
Magilla
Following this pattern we can all see that BBC is very pro Goverment policy's So how do you account for the BBC's "Gilligan Affair", which directly accused the government of the day of dishonesty and spin? melthebell
Because it's an example of how media organisations must toe the line and refrain from saying anything too critical of the government. so the bbc ARENT biased cos ALL the media do it?? andygardener
The BBC biased?? how can this be when some on the left think the BBC is too right wing, and some on the right complain its too left wing Exactly. The BBC has been accused of being right wing, left wing, pro-government, anti-government, pro-war, anti-war, pro-islam, anti-islam, jingoistic, anti-British, pro-hunting, anti-hunting etc etc etc If you're getting criticised by all sides for pretty much everything then the odds that you're broadcasting propaganda for anyone are pretty low.
