muckymurphy Posted December 5, 2011 Share Posted December 5, 2011 Sheaf House on Bramall Lane, Thursday nights i'll second that ! this poker night is part of the redtooth poker league who are nationwide. search for redtooth poker and look on the site for details of all the poker nights in s. yorks. buy in at sheaf and most other pubs in this league is 5 quid on the night, get there for 8pm to register (free). you get a payout if you win and also score league points which tally up every 13th week to give you chance to play in a bigger money tourney which is held at "G" casino on queens road. there is also another league called live pub poker league (search for LPPL) but i dont know if they do cash buy ins, thus free to play (great when you are skint) enjoy! For those who don't know it, it's a nice quite little gem of a pub. They sell some nice real ales and it's generally a nice friendly place to be. It's not Redtooth poker or anything like that, just a small NL Texas Hold'em Freezeout tourney. We might start a mini league when we get enough regular players. It's £5 to enter which gets you 5000 chips and the blinds go up at a nice steady pace. It's only been running for a couple of weeks and we're hoping to get a few more regulars over the next few weeks. Everyone is invited and welcome.
