spindrift
A survey by the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs has revealed that users have noticed little difference in their ability to get hold of mephedrone, which is nicknamed miaow miaow, since it was banned. The report, the key findings of which are to be published this week and is the first authoritative survey of mephedrone users since the government added the drug to the list of banned substances in April 2010, reveals that more than half of those questioned had noticed no change in the availability of the drug in their area. It also shows that 44 per cent of those who have used mephedrone said the ban made them more likely to use the Class A party drug ecstasy instead. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8320316/Ban-on-miaow-miaow-may-have-done-harm-rather-than-good-report-suggests.html Sensible regulation and education is the common sense approach, a quality not found anywhere in government. It is animalistic nature to want to get high. Inform people of the risks so they can make an informed decision. If you ban the safer stuff, people will just find more dangerous stuff. The country in Europe that has the most impressive numbers (crime rates, rehabilitation, deaths, addiction rates etc) associated with drugs? Portugal - which got rid of prohibition ten years ago. Do you recommend more vigorous policing against drugs use ?

Pretty much everyone I know who was tyaking it is still taking it, they're just paying treble the price and none of that is tax revenue anymore
