Price to use a public toilet

Recommended Posts

Yesterday whilst in York I went to use a public toilet. There was a lady in a cubicle at the entrance who charged me 40p.

Has anyone been charged more than this ?

not more. but there was one in London, off oxford street, can't remember which street now, that was 40p seven years ago. it's probably a pound now, or cut.

Birmingham New Street train station charges 40p too.... as does the Leeds for the one on the concourse (the one past the barrier is free)

A gang of technologically savvy Sheffield forummers managed to crack the code to the upstairs toilets of TJ hughes.

Although the code can change at any time, so you must have a back-up plan. "Plan B"

Essentially, what you do is rummage around in a bin for a beer bottle and once you have found a suitable decoy you can home in on the Bankers.

Stand outside and make small talk with some smokers and wait for a warning off a member off staff. They will tell you to leave your drink inside. You can now slip inside and use the toilet.

Take your own paper, just to be on the safe side ;)
