Nhs direct - waste of space ?

Recommended Posts

*Have called them a few times over the years and found that majority of the time the person on the other end is more than Likly to be reading from promts ,*

The thing which is most disconcerting is the very limited amount of resources available for these NHS advisors the fact that the advisor has no access to the Internet which wad evident by them not being able to provide me a phone number for a particular children's hospital department which I found by a simple I phone google search!

Yeah but given that 99% of your posts on here have been largely incoherent ramblings about conspiracy theories it's hardly surprising.

My bold

So why on earth were you bothering them for something you can find out for yourself??

I've used them a few times, including the occasion when I'd turned a fetching shade of yellow one Sunday morning, and they advised me to go down to the doctors' co-operative (or whatever it is) at the NGH.

From there, I was taken in an ambulance to the Hallamshire, which came as a bit of a shock, because it didn't occur to me I might be really ill!

If I hadn't been able to phone up NHS Direct, I'd have just made a doctor's appointment at my local surgery and probably wouldn't have seen anybody for days.
