TrashyBook
I think they have changed the smell, well according to this webite http://www.basenotes.net/content/ Thankfully it looks as though it was changed back in 2003, so I've been buying the new stuff. Thanks for the link - great site!
EdnaKrabappe
I do adore lots of the classic perfumes, particularly Chanel no 5. The trick is to wear things like Miss Dior and Youth Dew very sparingly and they smell delicious! I love having a perfume wardrobe. My fallback scent is Flower by kenzo and my evening one is Angel byThierry Mugler although the last few times i've worn that, I've not enjoyed it so wonder if it's me or the bottle that's changed! I also love EL White Linen and have never met anyone else who has it as a signature scent. I've got tons of them though- even a play doh perfume! I miss Wrappings by Clinique, which you can still get but it's only on E bay and Harrods and abroad for some reason. Also I had a licorice perfume from Demeter but I've found it's going to cost me £40 to have it imported when it only costs £10. Have sent friends on buying expeditions in America to no avail and contacted the company but the director just sent me a personal message but to the link with the blanket import costs! My gran (80) loves Rive Gauche, Anais Anais, Youth Dew and Chanel no 5 hence why I probably like the last 2. My mum(60) loves the eighties classic ones like Paris, Ysatis and Aromatics. maruge62
Im looking for the name and brand of a perfume from the 70s -I think- that came in a white box, with alternated green and blue small pines... Im from Argentina, and, at that time, imported perfumes were only got abroad... that´s all I remember, unfortunately... A teacher of mine used to wear it in the early 70´s, she flodded the class room with her perfume, and I loved it! I'm from If anyone can help!! thanks in advance!! MonkeyLover
One of my favourites is "florentina" by Marks and Spencer's. someone bought me some years ago, and I smelt it on a customer in the shop where I work last week. Lovely, fresh and flowery.

Hi there You'll probably find someone on the Basenotes.net forum who will recognise the scent you're looking for, since it's a whole site full of fragrance collectors. I can't think of one with green pines on, only green wavy stripes on a white background (that's Ma Griffe). I hope you find the scent you're seeking
MrsMozzy
My 91 year-old mother-in-law (who sadly passed away this morning - goodbye lovely lady) loved Blue Grass (Elizabeth Arden) - very light, not too flowery.
Rural Lass
Maybe she wants something new rather than the old smells, if you don't try new stuff how do you ever know if it's any good. Ghost do a great range thats in expensive, various fragrances, worth a try and you've not lost a lot if she doesn't like it. Every woman likes perfume let's face it! Join the scentaholics and buy lots and lots of them for yourself, like I do I specialise in picking things up for not very much on Ebay, but I've now got somewhere around 120 different scents to choose between every day. My shelf has everything from Je Reviens to a vintage bottle of Chanel No5 and my favourite of all, a vintage parfum bottle of Givenchy III
