Chicken G
Has anybody tried the fabulous food on offer free in the rose and crown on a friday early bar?? It's absolutely fantastic and from what i can gather is made by a local guy as he seems to be friends with the landlady Up to now there has been chilli and garlic bread and indian curry and samosas...i missed out on the chinese chicken curry but heard others saying how good it was. Can't wait to see what this week brings Good on ya mate The curry was as good if not better than any takeaway i've had, as were the samosas and the chilli was just right Makes you want to stay for another drink, great atmosphere and nice people, will definately be back !... vickycound
it makes you want to stay for another drink because they put plenty of salt in the food my mum n dad owned a pub n used to put yorkshire puddings etc on for the customers on a sunday its an old trick of the pub trade but good on them if its as good as you say made me hungry just reading it lol

Chicken G
This food isn't laced with salt and from what i can see the guy who cooks it started off bringing some food for his mates to try and it's just grown from there. yes there were some old pub tricks like you mention with the yorkshires, roast potatoes, crisps etc etc but i don't think this is the case the guy just seems to genuinely appreciate the comments from his friends, i have just been lucky enough to call for a beer at the right timeand was offered some along with anyone else who wanted to try it. if you don't want any then you don't have it...simple as that..!! i'm looking forward to this week..lol As for OP Ghostrider...what's that ?
