Staunton
The Neoliberal coalition that is supporting the banks and big businesses in their tax evasion has very clear plans for our public services, including our hospitals and our schools. David Cameron today announced in the Daily Telegraph that private companies are to be given the automatic right to bid to run our public services, which means public money going into the pockets of company executives and shareholders whilst the public see the quality of their services substantially diminished. If you are wondering what the Neoliberals plan for our NHS take a look at what is happening in the USA. For example, see the sickforprofit website or simply watch Michael Moore's 'Sicko', which is easily available on DVD. Don't be put off by Moore's slow delivery, he has to broadcast like this when trying to reach an American audience more used to Neoliberal propaganda channels such as Rupert Murdoch's Fox News. And if you are wondering what Fox News is like, then try Robert Greenwald's 'Outfoxed' movie, available online - just type outfoxed into your search engine and you will find the full film available to view. lizmachin
Good post....no idea what you're on about but good luck with it. I think it is something along the lines of the government doing exactly the same as the last one.
mj.scuba
Why do the coalition sceptics accuse the government of supporting tax avoidance, as though all the current tax rules suddenly came into force when they won the election? The truth of the matter is, current tax rules have been around for years, and Labour had 13 years to tighten them up, but failed.
Guest sibon
Why do the coalition sceptics accuse the government of supporting tax avoidance, as though all the current tax rules suddenly came into force when they won the election? The truth of the matter is, current tax rules have been around for years, and Labour had 13 years to tighten them up, but failed. Possibly because the current Government have had the best part of a year to do likewise, but have failed. Instead, they have taken a five figure sum from the pockets of a typical middle class family. The excrement wont be hitting the whirry thing just yet though, because the cuts are still to come. Meanwhile those who already have, have the power to get more.
