dave_dave
I have discovered a charity set up in Sheffield which is not legitimate. It's not registered so it can't be reported to the Charity Commission and the police don't seem too bothered about the fraud, where else is there to report it? R i chy
Tell us what it is so we can avoid it =) Police might be interested, they should be, have you contacted them? If not you should.

dave_dave
I'll post it, but if it has to be deleted could the mods just delete this post rather than the whole thread as I would like to know an alternative way of reporting it. Thanks. http://www.enabledcharity.co.uk
Agent Orange
Yes, you should be able to name the charity if you are 100% certain it's not registered. Surely, the mods would allow that, if only to prevent the rest of us from donating to it.
Kthebean
You could try and seek advice from consumer direct (was trading standards)?

It also shows no proof what so ever of where its funds go, doesn't even claim to be not for profit, uses other charities photos on its website and makes ridiculous claims of meetings with celebrities, trips to theme parks etc.
SHYTOT
There is already a thread about this. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=730468 At first glance something isn't right. A charity has a number which they need to display and these guys aren't doing it.

A charity doesn't HAVE to have a number, that's part of the problem.
