Longcol Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 or he and i were in minden at the same time. in d company. although i was in 14 platoon and he was in 16 platoon. gaz brookesby was my sgt at the time. we had no platoon commander as edd butler was yet to arrive. billy linfield MM was the soldiers soldier then. heady days. the worst job on the barracks cleaning rota was the hallway on mondays. 3 deep in beer bottles, 100 yards long. billy hughes bit most of my ear off for falling asleep during lionheart. charly chensee introduced me to porn german style. and i shared a room with john mabb and spook the best of the battalion boxers. long time ago minden. I highly doubt he has ever served, if he did then he would be able to give precise details of his rank, role etc etc. Back on the topic of the thread.
