Leah-Lacie
Mostly bought from ebay, or made myself... If you are determined, you can very easily get everything on a budget! my best bargain was my bigger bridesmaid dresses. I got a pair, size 8 and size 10, for £2,71 on ebay. The size 10 top and size 8 skirt had been worn once, but the 8 top and 10 skirt are brand new. Heres a pic: http://www.imagebam.com/image/35c675120773738 They are more of a pinky colour but the flash is too bright, and too dark with it off My flower girl dresses are from tesco, i paid £10 each. there are very slightly different, as one is for an under 5, and one for over 5. the flash makes them look totally different for some reason, but the top parts are both the same, but one has rose pattern to it, and the skirts are only very slightly different colours... but one has a higher shine than the other, so again, the flash interfered! With flash on: http://www.imagebam.com/image/8c09d9120774120 Flash off: http://www.imagebam.com/image/be99cc120774121 i made my own place cards, i bought 100 blank ones for £2, organza roses for £1 and adhesive hearts for 99p. I've also glued a tiny acryllic crystal in the middle of each rose... http://www.imagebam.com/image/cccf42120774333 http://www.imagebam.com/image/1bbdd6120776132 ewww the camera made the rust ring on my fireplace look worse thean it is (btw anyone know how to stop cast iron fireplaces rusting??) I bought a small satin cushion for £2, and have decorated it myself to make a wedding ring cushion, just with ribbon and organza roses, total cost of about £3 http://www.imagebam.com/image/08a742120774335 My dress, I got from an ebay seller who was clearing out their shop stock. Amanda Wyatt Annekka with pink sash, tagged at £895, bargain at only £40. Bit hard to get a full pic with my camera, but its this one, only in pink: http://www.imagebam.com/image/aecae7120774613 I also got a tiara tagged at £120 for £5, and veil tagged at £75 for £3 from the same seller Fiancee's waistcoat i got for £2 from ebay, brand new with tag (don't know where hes put it so no pic!) I got my shoes, new in box, again from eBay for £5, and a pair for one of my older bridesmaids for £3.99 My bouquet was £8, its all wrapped up atm, I'll get a pic later, and as my wedding is in winter, and I'll be freezing, I got a stole wrap, for £4.99 I got my invitations from ebay, packs of 36 for £7, one pack of day and one pack of evening reception invites was enough. I'm currently trawling ebay for any bargains I can use to decorate my reception. Balloon drop nets, for example, I see you can get for £4. If you are working to a tight budget, as I am, don't be disheartened, you can do it! My budget is somewhere between £1700 and £2000, preferably not reaching £2000. Church = £430 Reception = £999 - including buffet for 150 and DJ I've so far spent well under £150 on clothing and accessories etc I probably will end up reaching my £2000, but, won't go over by much. I'm hoping that by being so tight, I can afford a honeymoon

Miss_S_83
Love this post, it's inspired me! I tried a few dresses on in New York Brides today, the style I love just doesn't love me though.. she is going to get in touch when they have a few more stock in my size, she is lovely (the lady that owns it). I bought my wedding ring today and ordered H2B's! Will look on eBay now for other bits... I am panicked about the god damn dress though, the one I wanted is £190 custom made but it won't suit me I just know it won't. Struggling to find anything that might! ARGH! x
nataliem85
We bought a lots of things from ebay for our wedding - invites, blank place cards, balloons, etc. I really enjoyed making my own things and adding personal touches, and they looked fab when id finished, people said they looked shop made! But we saved so much money doing it that way, i found it ridiculous the amount it would cost to get things printed professionally. I also put together our table decorations myself, after a trip to ikea! So good on you, it can be done.
Leah-Lacie
Such a shame the seller I got my dress from hasn't got any more now... She had 100's listed, all Amanda Wyatt, and all buy it now for £60, or auction starting at £40. Couldn't believe my luck!

jennyfour
We did our wedding on a budget and ended up having a BBQ in our garden for the reception. I decorated the fence posts with bunches of white roses and gold ribbon bows that looked really effective. Everyone had a great day including us. I still have the flowers if anyone wants to purchase them from us 20+ bunches ... pm me
