shortcrust
Both are correct (IMO!), and I say both depending on context, emphasis etc.
HeadingNorth
Both are grammatically acceptable, insofar as it's acceptable to use contractions at all. (Traditionally one should not use contractions in written English, but internet forums are not traditional places and nobody is likely to cricitise you for using them here. Certainly I won't - I use them myself on forums!) Which to use is merely a matter of preference. Sometimes one will be better than the other to improve the flow of a sentence, and sometimes, the other will be better than the one.

Amaranthus
I say 'no, it's not' if I'm being casual, but if I'm peed off I'll say 'no, it isn't' and enunciate every letter.
