Ousetunes
It was like having another brother or a sister. It was someone upon whom I could unleash all my politically incorrect venom, bemoan the days when you could ride a bus up the Moor and admire the Christmas decorations or perhaps pee in Goodwin Fountain after a night out in the Stone House and Al-E-Cats 'night club'! The Sheffield Forum was a trusted friend and indeed I made many a faceless friend on here. (I got to meet a good number, too. All nice people.) I agreed with many but disagreed with more. Some of the more intelligent contributors could get me to change me mind, to see things from another perspective. Almost. Good restaurants and bad, our wonderful council, the music I love and hate and the ongoing torture of both Sheffield football clubs. My love of another city 6o miles north and the moment when I had to tiddle off the monorail on Blackpool sea-front because it had broken down! All this and more I shared on SF. But due to a change of job last auturm, I find myself unable to post on here with the frequency I so desire. Occasionally, the opportunity arises and I'm back here looking in, but feeling as if I am now doing from the outside. I feel I left the school and can only watch as my friends continue to play in the school playground, sans moi!. BUT! To anyone who cares - and I know some of you do - Ousetunes is alive and well and wishes to put on record here that I hope all you fellow forummers are alive and well too. See you soon. I hope! Plain Talker
All the best, ousetunes, but, new job or not, you don't have to be a stranger... you can, surely, pop your head round the door now and again? (as you seem to be doing) Sporadic contact, has to be better than no contact at all?

And Sheffield Forum? ...you can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

Fareast
Yes, Ousetones, you 'll be pleased to know that we 're still the good-hearted, open-minded, generous Yorkshire folk that you no doubt remember ! [ By the way, back in 2005, I think I lent you 10p. Did you ever give it me back ? Do you ever feel miserable and guilty about deserting the old homestead ? Cressida looks younger every year ! Sheffield is beginning to look a lot like Paris or Rome ]. So, enjoy yourself Ousetones and think of us honest, generous Tykes now and again !!
