Rupert_Baehr
Well, the price is certainly linked to food prices. And food prices are increasing steadily.
Bulgarian
People still have deep fat fryers ?
Jason Bourne
And food prices are increasing steadily. Why is that? Are we so used to prices rising 25% each year that we just accept it? Didn't farmers record bumper harvests this year?
mart
That is about a 25% rise. Just before Christmas "Filippo extra virgin olive oil" was £4.50 per litre. When the shops opened again the same item was £6.79 which is more than 60% increase. That was in Tesco Rotherham.

wednesday1
Could also be related to the increase in diesel. Some people use it as fuel. Sure this fact is not lost on the supermarkets!
hotrock
Buy an Tefal Actifry, 1 tsp of oil for 1kg of chips, we have had ours for over a year now, it does meatballs, sausage, stirfry, etc we have saved a small fortune on the oil that we would have bought.
