sjalsip
Can see it from High Green, well it's the brightest thing I can see apart from the moon Well, the thing I was looking at isn't moving. But I just spotted something similar moving really fast in the sky, not flickering or anything. So I guess that was it? allwednesday
All I bit funny really even the wife's got her head stuck out of the bedroom window now. Look like staying up till midnight to see this Iridium flare.
Alcoblog
Didn't see the ISS although I stood on the Bolehills. Not surprising really as it's dark now and they'd probably turned the lights off and gone to bed (or just closed the curtains?) I'll go and look for the iridium flare in half an hour though. Happ Hazzard
I saw it earlier, my mate said it was a moon, I replied "that's no moon, that's an international space station".
megalithic
Just remember, with the Iridiums they start off very dim and gradually brighten to their peak over a minute or so, so keep scanning the sky for anything moving at the exact time. Frequently people miss them right up until their peak.

AndrewC
I'm really not bothered about this at all. If you're trawling SF for threads about things you're not bothered about, then posting on them to tell everyone you're not bothered about them -I'd say it's probably time to turn the PC off. ---------- Post added 17-04-2013 at 00:08 ---------- Ramps you blatant liar, why pm me then asking which way WSW is. ? Pretty decent that one, anyone else see it ? I assume I have, since there's not much else going on up there! About same 'elevation' as the Moon. Only visible for about 10 seconds though, presumably because I'm in town?
