I think it's an unfounded rumour, but I hear that Sylvester Stallone's mum Jackie has gone into hiding for fear of being mistaken for Gadaffi.

My regiment the York & lancaster was in Cyprus on its last overseas posting in 1965/8, the regiment did 6 weeks desert training in Lybia, the regimental band also went over and gave concerts but that was pre Gaddafi when King Idris was ruling.

It was a far better place then.

What 're the odds on him lodging in some sort of Blair ' Grace & Favour ' residence in Islington......or living off the State in a villa [ his family, you understand ! ] in Buckinghamshire ?
