  1. 1. How will it all end for Gaddafi?

    • He will go down fighting, like Custer
    • He will shoot himself, like Hitler
    • He will be captured, killed and strung up, like Mussolini
    • He will be captured, put on trial but claim to have Alzheimer's like Pinochet
    • He will disappear and will be searched for in the Brazilian jungle
    • He will be given asylum in the UK
    • He will end up in a luxury villa in Venezuala or Zimbabwe

If the West is truely appalled by Gadaffi, then WHY don't they go for Mugabi too. He has massacred far more of his own people, but Mugabi lacks one thing that Gaddafi has.... OIL!!!

I think we should stop meddling as we are making the situation far worse. Gadaffi is now in the headlines once more, just like he was in the 80's and he actually enjoys it. esp when America starts warmongering against him. He wont leave his beloved land and if we revolted aginst OUR Royal family or Government, I am sure we would get bullets in our heads too. We are ALL hypocrites. A few students shouting "off with their heads" at the student protests almost got them shot!!!

from Robert Fisk quote/ “So even the old, paranoid, crazed fox of Libya – the pallid, infantile, droop-cheeked dictator from Sirte, owner of his own female praetorian guard, author of the preposterous Green Book, who once announced he would ride to a Non-Aligned Movement summit in Belgrade on his white charger – is going to ground.”:D

Dore & Totley is officially part of Surbiton and has always styled itself on that fine example of ' English Suburbia '.

English is widely spoken [ except amongst teenagers ], the people are quiet [ even insular ? ], refined, respectable and morally without stain. It has the highest per capita income this side of Doncaster.

There is a thriving ' nitelife !! '. The chip shop is open until 11 p.m. and there is a pub somewhere. A well-known petrol retail outlet emporium also sells snacks and soft drinks throughout the night !

Gardens are well-tended, usually by imported labour from the East & North of nearby Sheffield. You do not need a passport or visa to visit Dore & Totley but it is advisable to be well-dressed and of sober habits. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in public.

upinwath :-

Please, never underestimate the do-gooders and quasi-liberals of the U.K. Stringing the old Colonel up would contravene his ' Uman Rights and the European Health & Safety Directives.

What 're the odds on him lodging in some sort of Blair ' Grace & Favour ' residence in Islington......or living off the State in a villa [ his family, you understand ! ] in Buckinghamshire ?

After what that git did. Fat chance. Even if some soppy, lefty cretin got him in (Can't be a dodgy passport from Mandelson because he's gone now), the press would be at him, people would find out where he was and some CIA agent/p***** off Scottish dudes would have him.

I think the two most likely options are:

1. He carries on the insane "no-one is rebelling" line and ends up getting shot by the army / his own bodyguard when it becomes blindingly obvious to everyone else that he's lost.

2. Less likely - in a moment of lucidity he realises if he stays he's doomed and steps down and skips the country with a large amount of filthy lucre before the rebels can bring him to trial.
