  1. 1. How will it all end for Gaddafi?

    • He will go down fighting, like Custer
    • He will shoot himself, like Hitler
    • He will be captured, killed and strung up, like Mussolini
    • He will be captured, put on trial but claim to have Alzheimer's like Pinochet
    • He will disappear and will be searched for in the Brazilian jungle
    • He will be given asylum in the UK
    • He will end up in a luxury villa in Venezuala or Zimbabwe

Things are looking really bad over there, it seems this man is not bending over like the other recent leaders have in the same situation.

He wont bend over and why should he. It is where he has lived all his life and he is certainly different to most leaders of this world. Can you imagine him fleeing to say Venuzuela and living a relaxed but very different life? NO!

Libya IS his life and he will end his life there if he has to.

If the rebels don't get their act together and go on the offensive, there is an increasing risk gadaffhi will recapture the whole country.

dont think he is budging, a third of the population live around tripoli...and he controls that...also been sending his planes to attack the rebels, as the man said all the country loves him so why leave....

Doesn't this kind of thing happen quite often in Central and Southern America? It seems odd that we feel the need to get so involved with this one.

Its like all the TV interviews of Brits who have been evacuated from the oil fields and their insistence to tell us how lucky they are to get out. They knew what kind of country it was, yet took the oil companies dollar to work there.

I remember years ago when he rolled up in Malaga, a big posh hotel and he pops a massive tent up in the hotel grounds.

Yep, I'm curious about that too. Why get involved in the Liyba crisis, but not elsewhere? Could it have anything to do with the natural resources located in a particular country?

They may be scared of Speedy Gonzales in that neck of the woods.

An interesting news item:

Nelly Furtado to give up Gaddafi concert fee

Singer Nelly Furtado has said that she will give away $1 million (£615,000) she was paid to perform for the family of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The star said on Twitter she had given a private 45-minute show for Gaddafi's "clan" in 2007 at a hotel in Italy.

guilty conscience or just jumping on the bandwagon for free publicity?
