swamptrust Posted February 28, 2011 Share Posted February 28, 2011 Swamp Circus Trust Ltd are providing free circus skills workshops funded by Sheffield City Council for those aged 8 - 19 years old at the Grapevine Centre, Fitzroy Road, Heeley Green, S2 3BB. Tuesdays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th March from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Activities include juggling, poi poi, stilts, diabolo, flower sticks and many more. All levels welcome, from absolute beginners to the advanced. Our Circus and Theatre workshops give participants the chance to try out circus skills in a fun, safe and relaxed environment. They benefit young and old alike by developing co-ordination and balance skills, and raising self esteem and confidence. Greentop Posted February 23, 2012 Share Posted February 23, 2012 Re: Adult Circus Courses Hi Soulgirl Please keep an eye out on our website for upcoming adult circus skills courses: www.greentop.org/browse-all-classes If you're looking for free classes for adults, the closest thing we have at the moment is Wednesday's Circus Skills Skillshare: Practice juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking, tight wire, unicycle, poi, staff and loads more. A community circus skill share session, open to everyone - from beginners to experienced performers. There is no fixed charge for these sessions, just donate what you can afford, all proceeds go towards new equipment for the space. Hope this helps!
