Religion whats it really about

Recommended Posts

Of course there are no gods.

Religion is a product of fear. The thought of a chaotic uncontrollable world is scary. It is much more comforting to imagine that some entity has agency over the world and is somehow in control.

In recent years this fear of the chaotic has manifested itself with conspiracy theories popping up instead of religions.

Football is like religion for some people.

I've no problem with some people being enthusiastic about their hobby, and as long as people treat their religion like a hobby then fine.

It's when people try to insert their hobby into other people's lives, or worse still into politics, to dictate how others live, that the hobby becomes an obsessive cancer.

I'm just using Africans as an example there are alsorts of religions these day's in Sheffield.

Should peoples children be able to choose if they want to follow there mums and dads religion, especially as they now reside in England ?
