Rampent
Here we go again, grade z celebs desperate to get their mugs on the TV, and flog rubbish. I think most of the money goes to Dictators in Africa. So they can buy new jags. I really hate this day, and all the **** that goes with it. Your opines? Vague_Boy
Tim: Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against this sort of thing. It's a good cause, but I just don't want to have to join in with someone else's idea of wackiness, okay? It's the wackiness I can't stand. It's like, you see someone outside Asda collecting for cancer research because they've been personally affected by it, or whatever, I dunno, an old bloke selling poppies, there's a dignity about that. A real quiet dignity. Tim, The Office, series 2, episode 5, BBC2, 2002. I can't stand the wackiness either, it's so forced.

Chris_Sleeps
Tim, The Office, series 2, episode 5, BBC2, 2002. Ricky Gervais's Room 101 talks about this.
Rampent
Can't stand it either i just ignore it. But it's so hard to avoid. The BBC are going to go into overdrive soon. And all the 'ads' for sweets and crisps etc. I've already lost it.
Frank Sidney
Ricky Gervais's Room 101 talks about this. He's right of course. I can't stand it either. The sentiment is ok but I always feel a lot of the people who get involved, both fund raisers and celebrities, do so to make them look like decent caring people, yeah right...course you are... Rampent
Yeah, but who gets all the money? Plus, I'm sick of looking at Lenny and his borefest. He should go back to Hotels ads.
