Tony Erikson
I was listening to this couple on the radio the other day. The link regards Christian foster parents who lost the right to be foster parents due to their views on homosexuality. Whilst I don't want to go into the case it did raise a valid issue. Should people of faith be allowed a certain flexibility of the law to allow for their beliefs? Should a man be allowed 7 wives if his faith in his god and his teachings required him to do that? Rupert_Baehr
Didn't we beat the foster parent question to death a few days ago? As far as having 7 wives goes, can somebody be 'sectioned' for that? In the US (where drug laws are often enforced rigorously) Hopi and Navajo are permitted to possess (and use) Psilocybin mushrooms, because they are deemed to be a necessary part of their religious practice. Swan_Vesta
Would we allow anyone to use the defence "My magical imaginary mate says that while the law says I can't ..... I have his permission to do it anyway"?
Bloomdido
I hate it when people start preaching that morality comes from the bible. I ask those who condemn the man-on-man stuff if they think it's ok to own slaves and for parents to kill their children for cheeking them.
sccsux
One law applied equally to all. Succinctly put:thumbsup:. Shame it isn't (applied equally to all, that is).

That is Jewish law as you should know by now and even the Jews don't follow it.
