Carpet Fitter - Stairlift issue

Hi,

 

I'm looking on behalf of someone else who isn't able.

 

I need a carpet fitter to fit a stairs carpet however there is a small issue of there is a stair-lift fitted.

I've rung around a few fitters and they won't touch it because of the liability issue, they don't want to unbolt the lift, put the carpet and refit the lift in case there's an accident afterwards and it comes down to the track being secured incorrectly.

 

Obviously I'm expecting it to be more expensive than your average carpet fitting given this risk, but thats not the problem immediately, it's finding one that will fit it in the first place.
