Dornock
Henry Priestman is a legendary figure on the Liverpool music scene, although he originally hails from Hull. His first solo album 'The Chronicles Of Modern Life' was released last year on Stiff Records (Henry's first ever label back in the late 70s) to critical acclaim. Henry Priestman’s 30 years in the music business have been eventful. With Yachts he supported the Sex Pistols in 1977; co-founded It's Immaterial; sold millions of albums in the late ’80s and early ’90s as part of The Christians; and has produced and played with numerous artists and bands, including Johnny Marr, Wah Heat and Echo and the Bunnymen. He's also shared a Number One with Paul McCartney. Henry will be playing songs from 'Chronicles' alongside a few songs written for his new album, due Summer 2011, and few classics from The Christians and Yachts. Support will be provided by John Reilly of Boy on a Dolphin and Acoustic Angels, himself now pursuing an exciting solo career. Tickets £10 in advance available from the venue (tel: 0114 2665599) or http://www.wegottickets.com/event/101366 or http://www.seetickets.com Don't miss this fantastic night at The Greystones.
