Protest the cuts to our services before it is too late!

Recommended Posts

If big businesses are solely responsible for the financial mess in which the country finds itself, why is personal debt so high in the UK?

LOL !

The banks borrow money from our government at very cheap rates of 0.6% and then sell it back to us bunch of idiots for upto 20% on our credit cards...6% on our mortgages and 15% on our loans. AND ITS OUR MONEY!!!!

Wake up and sell the roses and google the crash properly....

Rubbish, the government of the day was responsible for the business of running this country, it is they who should be held accountable. I guess it's a lot easier blaming the "bogey men" for current situation though.

Does it matter who was accountable, we need to stop this now but the Tories are allowing more tax havens, less labour agreements & cutting our wages and services instead. And we allow it....

Go and do something about it instead of bitching on forums if you're so convinced "we need to stop this now".

Yes Labour should have regulated the Banking sector much more rigourously

So you'll be going easier on George Osborne from now on then?

After all, if Labour couldn't manage to regulate the banks in 13 years, it's a little early to be criticizing Osborne after just 10 months.

Not that he will do anything mind, it just seems a little hypocritical of you to be criticizing him for something your lot consistently failed to do anything about.

IMO, there's nothing inherently wrong with deregulation.

The fewer rules the better.

As long as the banks and investment houses that ask for "light touch" regulation also forsake their "right" to government bailouts.

Otherwise you're just introducing moral hazard on a large scale.

Its disgusting that they propose all these cuts then announce on national tv that they hope to introduce in april that all imigrants coming into England will get £250 per week....

That's utter rubbish. What's actually happening is that A8 migrants (from the old soviet block and now members of the EU) who used to have to work for 12 months before they could claim any benefits are now to be able to claim benefits up to £250 per week in income support, housing and council tax benefits immediately. And this is nothing to do with the UK government but is an EU decision.
