I think there should be no opt out. To assume that my organs are up for grabs should i die and the only way i can rest in peace is to sign a for telling the doctors not to cut me to pieces is ghoulish in the extreme.

 

Besides. This thread is not so much about the principle of opt out or opt in. Its more to do with the guilt trip they lay on when they want somthing from you.

 

"they" want something from you??? Who is they? The doc's or the recipients? If you mean the medics, I would want your liver too, if I could prolong the life of my patient. If you mean the recipient, then that goes without saying.
