Babs3
Would anyone recommend this, and how much does it cost?
PrincessKate
Keratin hair treatments are to smooth your hair and make it healthier, not to straighten it. If you want your hair straightening, you need to have it relaxed or Japanese hair straightening treatment. Prices depend on where you go, but look at £80-£160, also works better on colour treated hair than virgin hair.
PrincessKate
Also each time you wash your hair the treatment washes out slightly, they last 2 to 3 months, but make sure you go somewhere recommended as you dont want to spend all that money for nothing. Darth Vader
At the end of the day, it's still a perm, with harsh chemicals, and badly conditioned hair is not going to look that good straight, in my opinion.

It isnt actually a perm. The "chemicals" in it actually strengthen your hair and condition it, so doesnt damage it anymore unless you get someone who uses a product with too much formaldehyde in it

Snipz
There are a few of these systems out at the moment, However some of them DO have chemicals in the only one that doesn't contain formaldehyde is the KERATIN COMPLEX (12 week blowdry) the results last for 3 months plus so in fact is making your hair healthier by replacing lost keratin. Conrad blandford hairdressing is one of the few salons in Sheffield that uses this system have a look. Conradblandfordhairdressing.com
