Cavegirl Posted March 10, 2011 Share Posted March 10, 2011 I think what I'm more afraid of with regards to GM crops is the fact that Monsanto and other large GM corporations are patenting the genomes that they develop for their seeds and animals. Although a farmer may grow the crop the biotech company will own the crop and if they gain a monopoly they become extremely powerful. I think they're essentially using this device to control the world's food supply and the geopolitical and economic ramifications of this could be huge.
