Wedding dress shop that does alterations and cleaning?

Recommended Posts

As you might have seen from my other thread, I have picked up my dream dress at an ABSOLUTE steal.

I now need to get it cleaned and shortened.

Because I am so in love with this dress I do not want to take it to the dry cleaner or to a taylor, I want to take it to a specialist.

The washing machine is not an option…. If I ruined it I would never forgive my self or get over it!

I wondered if any of you knew of a wedding dress shop Sheffield to as far out as Manchester, who would be willing to send it to a cleaner and also do alterations.

I really don’t mind about the price, being that I saved £2100 on it im willing to splash out for the best service!

I have bought my dress from Emily Bridal wear on Neill road, just of Eccy Road. Thought the service was fab. They have an alterations lady who works with them and also clean the dresses (I bought a sample dress so it had to go for cleaning) and TBH given the cost I have heard for drycleaners charging for cleaning wedding dresses I thought the £50 or thereabouts it was was a bargain.

Did you get alterations for £50 or just the cleaning? I'm after a recommended bridal shop for my alterations should I need any.
