zanna Posted March 10, 2011 Share Posted March 10, 2011 As you might have seen from my other thread, I have picked up my dream dress at an ABSOLUTE steal. I now need to get it cleaned and shortened. Because I am so in love with this dress I do not want to take it to the dry cleaner or to a taylor, I want to take it to a specialist. The washing machine is not an option…. If I ruined it I would never forgive my self or get over it! I wondered if any of you knew of a wedding dress shop Sheffield to as far out as Manchester, who would be willing to send it to a cleaner and also do alterations. They have an alterations lady who works with them and also clean the dresses (I bought a sample dress so it had to go for cleaning) and TBH given the cost I have heard for drycleaners charging for cleaning wedding dresses I thought the £50 or thereabouts it was was a bargain.
