pcspb1
Royal Mail Prohibited Goods Flammable Liquids This includes mixtures of liquids or liquids containing solids in solution or suspension which give off a flammable vapour. Any liquid with a closed cup flash point below 60.5° C is prohibited. E.g. acetone, benzene, cleaning compounds, gasoline, lighter fuel, paint thinners and removers, petroleum and solvents. Although petrol is prohibited as a liquid, personally I would think that as long as it has been cleaned out and had chance to evaporate to air, then there shouldn't be a problem sending using Royal Mail. If you are not sure about what you cannot send, you could give RM a call on 08457 740740.
alchresearch
If there is any smell of petrol coming from the package it will be investigated and possibly destroyed.
megalithic
I occasionally make meths stoves for people and obviously i need to test burn them first. What i do is pack it firstly in a sealed plastic sandwich bag, then a box so the sealed bag is protected, i've never lost one to the post to date.
