To a dyslexic pointing out that they can’t spell isn’t fun, they have probably had it all their life and get a little fed up with being constantly reminded about it. You can usually tell when people have genuine problems though as opposed to a simple mishtayk, sometimes a typo/error can be funny. If you can't laugh at yourself, then there's not much hope for you.
