ronthenekred
Day in day out TV seems to suggest we've become a nation of floggers. Are we now culturally predisposed to selling off anything to make a fast buck? Is it a sign of the times where as a nation most people are struggling, or are we no different from those (but on a smaller scale) who see the acquisition of money as their only means to happiness or salvation? Not so much the means to buy/sell, but the culture, getting rid and gaining possessions.

HeadingNorth
Oh, you mean conspicuous consumption? x Being a nation of floggers would be the opposite of conspicuous consumption. It's getting rid of objects, to raise the money for something more useful.
