Tony
You feel it’s a cop out to eat? I'm interested to hear your suggestions as to how I should feed myself and my family in a Capitalistic economy without some degree of compromise. You’re not making a great deal of sense. Can we ask what your training manuals do and for whom and what the measured outcomes are? It would be nice to know just how worthy you really are or whether you are just another publicly funded parasite sucking from the teat of the hard working taxpayer. Rowan22
Now come along, you're happy to accept capitalist money because they pay for you to do worthy stuff but you want to change the system so that there are no capitalists. You haven't really thought about this at all have you? Parroting what you've read in manifestos and academic papers doesn't count as thinking for yourself. I'll ask you the same question that I always ask - just point us to the implementation of one successful socialist system of national organisation. Just one. Your analysis as usual is puerile. [/hyperbole] That's right because academics are "parasites". But if we unpack the term I profit from my own expertise in my chosen field. Generating money as the product of (my) labour. So I exploit no one. So once again that's a maximum 10/10 for fail. Perhaps you should write something of your own? Then you would be able to join me in drinking champagne from the treasury slipper ummm tastes good!

L00b
You feel it’s a cop out to eat?Don't twist my words, you know perfectly well what I meant: the luxury of your opinions is only afforded by that which you admonish. I already offered a suggestion: go work from the greening-up corporations you mentioned, do it for just the amount you require to pay your bills (garanteed to get you the gig, and will stop your evil full-rate capitalist competitors from profiting unduly), and be happy in the knowledge that you will be creating a little taxable wealth which will ultimately benefit all those public services (education, NHS, foreign aid, etc.) and those who depend on them much more directly than your current earning structure. Happy to help.

Forgive me if I don’t look to you to validate my life. Funny in light of your earlier accusation that "I think I am a cut above" was it? You see now there is a classic example of how projection works. You've quite the ego haven't you?
Tony
I'm not sure if I've mentioned anything about myself in this thread. Perhaps you imagined it - that would be projection. Could you answer the question please or are you declining the invitation? That may cause conclusions to be drawn.

Happy to help. No not really. Not at all. Everyone must make a living. Now unless I am mistaken we live in a Capitalist economy. How do you suppose I would be able to support myself and my family in any way, without entering into the system? I wouldn't. So the question really is how does my being a part of a Capitalist system square with my admonishment of that system. I have already explained this. Since I am compelled to sell my expertise to survive, I do so at as little detriment to my fellow men as is possible whilst maintaining my and my families’ survival. Your points are puerile, and all you contribute is based on your need to accuse someone else with your own insecurity. Draw whatever conclusion you wish. It will be as ill informed and stereotypical as your usual nonsense.
