Bassman62 Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Why are people supprised at yet another western backed war in the region West has occupied , commited atrocities in Libya and it's neighbours as recent as the 1960s Millions dead in Algeria by the hand of the French Million dead in Libya by the Italians ( which they agreed to pay 5 billion ) Western colonialism influence is still practiced intodays world and any dictator not complaint will either get massive economic sanctions or bombed and invaded Is the western public which has been brainwashed into thinking ; We are spreading peace and freedom We are helping the populations ( yes by occupation) We are nation building ( yes with tanks bombs and soliders ) Etc etc It seems to me that you're happy to keep these despots like Gadaffi in power Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then what?The West will topple all thes despot dictators but not in the way that you imagine. With the advent of modern media and communications the Muslim/Arab states will find it increasingly difficult to keep the people down, they will see how they've been kept in a middle/dark ages vacuum by their religious and political dictators, they will want the trappings and benefits of modern technolgy/democracy/freedom of speech and thought, and surprisingly enough I think that the women of these countries will play a major part as they're the ones who've suffered most in these countries.
