dosxuk Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Did they seriously realign the whole runway? I smell bull excrement. All they will have done is repaint the numbers on the ends of the runway. The numbers are the heading of the runway to the nearest 10 degrees, so as the magnetic north pole moves, this number will need changing. They had to do the same in 2009 at Stansted - http://www.holidayextras.co.uk/news/hx-travel/stansted-runway-renamed-11637.html - and expect to do so again in about 56 years.
