MrTrigger
It is a good bar but not what you would expect from a real ale pub, i.e. bouncers and a bit larey. Fantastic beer though!
TheRedBaron
Agreed. Jaipur is great there and so is the unfiltered pilsner. As for bouncers I can't say I have ever seen any.
Stoatwobbler
Love the Tap and spend far too much time there myself. And if you want well kept Jaipur the Coach & Horses in Dronfield is a good bet as well.
Farslad
Also a big fan of The Tap. I understand why they sometimes have door staff on as well. It is the first pub when you get off the train and the last pub before you get on the train. Every Saturday either United or Wednesday will be at home, so with visiting fans, it would be daft not to have door staff in place. They are not imposing in the slightest though and always pleasant. Love the Jaipur too. Planning a session in there next Thursday from midday with a mate who has a few hours to kill in Sheffield. Smashing.
